Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has a rash of injuries to deal with ahead of Friday night's clash. Domenico Criscito, Mario Balotelli and Giampaolo Pazzini have all withdrawn from the squad due to a variety of ailments.
Giuseppe Rossi tweaked his knee during a training match on Tuesday and will be a game-time decision while Federico Balzaretti is doubtful with a back injury. Prandelli has called up Argentina-born Pablo Osvaldo and Angelo Ogbonna as replacements.
Serbia boss Vladimir Petrovic will welcome Milos Krasic and Nikola Zigic back into the fray after injury. Nemanja Vidic has been included in the squad but will have to pass a late fitness test to feature against the Italians.

Euro 2012 Qualifying Preview: Turkey - Germany
Guus Hiddink's side needs a positive result against the Group A leaders who themselves are looking to continue their 100-percent record in qualification.
Guus Hiddink is expected to make several changes from the team who could only muster a 0-0 draw versus Austria in qualifying last month. Gokhan Gonul, Selcuk Inan, Emre Belozoglu, Mehmet Ekici are all likely to return to the starting XI while Hamit Altintop could also feature after recovering from a hip injury.
Joachim Low has promised to name his strongest possible lineup as Germany looks to continue its 100-percent record in qualification for Euro 2012. Toni Kroos is suffering from a virus, so Sami Khedira is expected to return to the side, which will see a tactical switch from 4-1-4-1 to 4-2-3-1.
Mario Gomez missed last month's 6-2 qualifying win against Austria and is questionable for the Turkey match due to an adductor problem. Miroslav Klose, is tipped to start as the lone centre forward, although he is struggling with a knock to his knee. Both strikers, as well as Mesut Ozil (ankle) missed training on Wednesday and their availability for Friday's match is still not certain.
